2021 Bourgogne Chardonnay, Domaine Alain Chavy, Burgundy, France

Enticing aromas of buttered toast lead into a beautifully-balanced, creamy palate of poached pears, complemented by fine, lean acidity. Overall a perfect balance between richness and freshness, this wine offers great pleasure as many a white Burgundy at double the price. A well-made classy Burgundy.

Alain Chavy and his brother Jean-Louis divided their family estate in 2003 and today Alain runs this ten-hectare estate with his son, Corentin. Alain obtained two-thirds of his father’s 
holding of old vines (planted in 1955).
