"We had Mark to come and do some wine and cheese tasting recently and it was the highlight of our weekend. Even though we had a mix of wine connoisseurs through to those who knew nothing, the mix and balance of information was really informative for all, but most of all it was fun. “This was the most enjoyable wine tasting i have experienced. Mark is very informative but not pretentious, generous with the old wine and extremely patient. Dealing with a party of 22 women is no easy task but everyone enjoyed the afternoon, all our questions were answered well and impartially. "My partner arranged an Introduction to Wine course for me for my birthday recently. Mark from Concept Fine Wines came to our house and delivered a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours for us. Mark was knowledgeable yet relaxed, and made us feel very comfortable, despite our lack of knowledge on the subject! The session was excellent as it wasn't a "lecture" but much more an interactive, flexible session that changed direction and content according to our interests. The session covered a diverse selection of wines with thought behind each one, and also included an english tipple which was nice. The topics covered included those you might expect but also the impacts of conditions on grapes, vines, soil types, production methods and legislation which made for a quality insight into the full life cycle of a bottle of wine. The session was really enjoyable and would also work well for a larger group, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mark and this course and may well be tapping him up for suggestions of wines next time we have a dinner party. Equally we are also considering having Mark again to a relative's birthday party, where we might try the Whiskey's too!!!" Steve M
