Bright, lively gooseberry aromas alongside notes of fresh herbs and grassy tones. Vibrant passion fruit, citrus and peach characters with top notes of melon and kiwi. Soft apple and white pear flavours balance. Well-structured zesty acidity with fantastic length and elegance.
"Sauvignon Blanc has become the cult grape in this northern part of the South Island the wines are fresh lots of grassy gooseberry. The nose has the fragrance of orange blossom citrusy the mid palate sweeter, a complex mix of flavours, nectarines, white peach and scraped tangerine skins, fresh at the back the richer fruit underpinned by nettles and citrus. A wine that goes well with prawns and shrimps, the mid richness suiting the fuller flavoured fish and there is enough depth of flavour for white meat such as chicken or turkey." Derek Smedley MW
