2017 Garnacha, Bodegas Borsao, Campo de Borja, Spain
Bright juicy plum and blackberry aromas. The palate is soft and approachable with cassis, plum, bramble and cherry characters. Supple tannins create an appealing finish.
2017 Vintage - Sommelier Wine Awards 2018 - Silver. 13.5% ABV.
Drink with slow-cooked belly pork, or perhaps chorizo with chickpeas (as recommended by Sommelier Wine Awards judge Martin Lam).
"This is the most popular red from Borsao.... 2017 was warm and dry and resulted in an early harvest with low yields of ripe and healthy grapes. It's a ripe and heady, grapey and straightforward unoaked red with juicy fruit and a sweet twist in the finish, easy to drink and very pleasant." Luis Gutierrez, The Wine Advocate
