2018 Mas las Cabes Rouge, Domaine Gardies, Cotes du Roussillon, France
A lovely nose of violets, liquorice and olive notes. On the palate, the wine is smooth and generous, with very soft tannins and pure fruity notes. The wine underwent 21 days traditional maceration, and matured for eight months, 1/3 in oak barrels and 2/3 in concrete tanks.‘Living in harmony with raw and wild nature, understanding… the land” is the philosophy of Jean Gardiès, who produces organic wines of great finesse, which truly express the terroir. Mas Las Cabes is a 15-hectare vineyard and was bought by the Gardiés family in 1990.
