2017 Albariño Lagar de Cervera, Galicia, Spain
Intense aromas, with hints of peaches, pears, ripe apples and quince, in addition to a remarkable lemon leaf citrus background. A wonderful fruit forward and long palate of breadth and freshness with perfectly balanced acidity. Perfect to enjoy on its own or with any appetiser. It is the ideal companion to seafood and fish, as well as salads, rice dishes, and fresh cheese. Wonderful in combination with Asian dishes such as sushi or sashimi.
There are heady aromas to this dry white from Rias Baixas, with notes of citrus and peach. It has a whistle-clean texture and finishes bright and crisp, with a long aftertaste. One of the best albarinios on the market. Will Lyons, The Sunday Times, 15th July 2018
