2017/8 Gavi, Tenuta Neirano, Piedmont, Italy
Made from Piedmont’s native Cortese vines grown in the commune of Gavi in the south of the region. Light, pale yellow in colour, the aroma is perfumed with aromas of honeysuckle and almonds. The palate is beautifully balanced, with citrus fruit flavours and white blossom, finishing with a distinct bittersweet sensation.
12% ABV. Suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians.
Owned by the Sperone family, an ancient 17th century villa was built on top of a hill in Casalotto di Mombaruzzo, near Asti, in the heart of Monferrato, Piedmont. Tenute Neirano`s origins began when Antonio Sperone began making wine in 1911, and is now a wine-growing and wine-producing estate of great importance which combines rural tradition and modern technology.
Gavi makes a good match for smoked salmon, shellfish and white meat dishes.
