2016 Chardonnay 'Crai Nou', Domeniile Franco-Romane, Dealu Mare, Romania
A supple and fruity wine which displays beautiful aromas of flowers and fruits. It has a good balance between acidity and roundness, and pairs particularly well with cold cuts and fish, grilled or in sauce, or simply on its own.
The Chardonnay grapes for this wine are grown in compliance with the rules of organic farming, and are certified. The Chardonnay is made using stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness.
The vines of the DEALU MARE (which in Romanian means "great hill slope") are the most famous and renowned vine growing area in Romania. It is 60 kilometers long on hillsides which starts from the southeast of the Carpathian Mountains, enjoying the sun from early morning and a good sunlight all day long. Famous for its red, the Dealu Mare also produces on its chalkier soils, whites of high quality.
