2011 First Sighting Pinot Noir, Strandveld, Elim, South Africa

Regular price £15.25
Ruby red with a brick coloured rim and brimming with cherries, strawberries and foresty fruits on the nose. The palate is juicy fresh with sour cherries and firm tannin. Sprightly and elegant.

Africa’s most southerly vineyard and winery, Strandveld sits just 11km from the Atlantic Ocean in a windswept landscape between Elim and Cape Agulhas. Strandveld was part of an 800-hectare, run-down sheep and wheat farm when it was bought in 2001. An old potato shed now houses the modern winery.
