2018/9 The Pugilist Cabernet Sauvignon, Wild & Wilder, Langhorne Creek, South Australia
The nose shows an array of perfumed characters such as violets, oregano & thyme, along with glacé cherry aromas. Sweet ripe cherry fruit dominates the front palate which then develops into a more savoury wine, showing earthiness, toasted spices and lovely dried herb characters.
14.5% ABV. 100% Cab Sauv.
"The 2018 Wild & Wilder The Pugilist Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from Langhorne Creek. It offers mint and cassis on the nose, classic, medium-bodied styling and crisp acids but soft tannins. A bit of mocha creeps in on the softly dusty finish. Approachable now, it should drink well through 2025 or so." Joe Czerwinski, The Wine Advocate.
Wild & Wilder was founded by Giles Cooke MW & Fergal Tynan MW.
